Guess what? Rhythmroo.com turns One today *Throws confetti in the air*. The time sure does fly when you post about game music and have fun doing so. Thanks to everyone who showed an interested in this rambling musician’s blog of game music. I would love to promise that there will be AMAZING things in store in the future for Rhythmroo… but to be honest I have no clue what the future has in store for this site. If anyone talks to me enough, you’ll know that I am a very fickle and compulsive person. My mind moves like the wind, everflowing with no sense of direction, but when I do find something I really like I’ll keep working on it for a while. Let’s hope that the latter will be the victor this year and I show you something that impresses you and this perfectionist writing this. :)
GM4A’s IWADON: Hiroyuki Iwatsuki Tribute Album
You know what tribute album is up for download and worth your listening time? This album. All music is composed by Hiroyuki Iwatsuki (IWADON), and arranged/remixed/awesomfied by a diverse group of cover game musicians, arrangers, and composers. The whole album is streamed on both official site and bandcamp, so I’ll let you do the listening on either site as well as download the album.
Mega Man 2 Soundtrack: Beat The 8 Super Robots With 8 Bit Instrumental
In case you missed out in a cool doujin album of Mega Man II done by 8 Bit Instrumental, here’s a reminder that he did release a cool album back in ’08. All the tracks are uploaded for preview on his site in case you wanted to listen before download. Enjoy, everyone.
The Oil Blue Soundtrack
Today we have music from “The Oil Blue”, an indie action-sim for the PC. What’s the game about? Drilling oil. That’s a cool concept that I would never had thought of, but we are here for the music. TOB’s soundtrack is very atmospheric and quite lulling in some areas, something some of you may like. Link for music and game info below.

In case any missed this release of a FREE Soundtrack composed, arranged, and produced by Josh Whelchel, here’s the link to the download. Great soundtrack. It’s Action-packed and very pleasing to the lobes. Whelchel has also composed and produced the soundtrack to a couple of other games as well, so check them out when you get a chance.
