I recently picked up this soundtrack, and I must say that I found this little gem to be great background music. Normally I can’t write, or read, with music playing. I am very easily distracted when reading and writing, so unfortunately I can not have any music playing…which is a great curse that I wish to overcome. Well, this soundtrack did it! I listened to it a couple of times while doing my reading for music history and I was hardly distracted. Wonderful news to me, but I hope that doesn’t makes it as though Ninety-Nine Nights has unattractive music to capture one’s attention. Quite the contrary, the music is wonderful and powerful. It better be, after all, you’re leading an army of soldiers to war with during game-play.
I found it interesting that a remix of the third movement from Antonín Dvořák’s “New World” Symphony (9) was on the soundtrack. Very random and odd, but it worked out great nonetheless! It’s simply called “From The New World (Eternal MIX)” on the album, which is the second track of the soundtrack. If you ever wanted hear what a 19th century symphony would sound like remixed in video games, there ya go. There’s also a remix from Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons” in there as well. We need more tracks like these. :)
I’m going to leave some links for you to follow in case you want to more information about the game and soundtrack. Below are the two remixed tracks mentioned above. By the way if you haven’t figured it, I highly recommend this soundtrack. Two online sites where you can purchase the soundtrack are linked below.
