Cave Story Original Game Score
There wasn’t any official soundtrack/gamescore release to my knowledge, so I gave you the first published date of the game, according to Aeon Genesis. I was also surfing around to see which image would work nicely as a soundtrack cover, and the image above is what kept ringing the right notes (Image found on Kotaku).
It always impresses me the most when an indie game is worked on by one person. I become even more amazed when I hear the music and love every second of it. I dabble with RPG Makers all the time, and it’s really tiring having to work with scripts/triggers all the time, especially when you have to do the same one more than 5 times because of incorrect switches. I have fun doing it, but I never could finish any one project I’ve worked onĀ because I would lose interest. Pixel using his own stuff and writing his own music, that’s just great and commendable. Blah, Blah, Blah. I haven’t mentioned the soundtrack much or at all, but I just appreciate someone who sticks with it, from beginning to end, on any project. That’s dedication and something I would like to motivate myself with to finish those RPG Projects.
The soundtrack is great, Loved the boss themes and ESPECIALLY “Moonsong”. I loved “Moonsong” so much, I can’t get enough. It’s a good track that I listen to every now and then while relaxing. Like always, if you want to download the music for Cave Story, check out the download section.
